Peter Ampe

Peter Ampe is a runner, a writer, and one of Belgium's most influential creatives, with a unique track record combining both 43 Cannes Lions and 14 Effie awards. The last decade he has been part of the Global Councils of Publicis, DDB and today WPP's Grey. Peter is valued for his analytic mind, strive for innovative ideas and his his preference for ideas that tap into the real world. Together with Strategic Director Jonathan Detavernier, he developed the methodology Fame & Frame, making it easier for clients to choose daring ideas.


Peter started out as a language teacher for political refugees and a journalist. At the age of 29 he joined the world of advertising, with the ambition to make it less advertising and more authentic. In 2016 Peter was honoured with a Special Award for creative leadership that came with the turnover he achieved during his 5 year period at DDB Brussels.
